it will be awesome when there is only one format so fence sitters know what to spend their money on.
the format war was not good for the consumers it held up the progress of HDM. HD-dvd is not anything new it is based off of an old format unlike Blu-ray.

Sounds like that should pretty much do it. At least we know there'll be some cheap Chinese crap in Blu coming soon to a Wal-Mart near you! Does this mean we'll finally get sub $200 stand alone players?

Hey Gking, maybe you can import the Funai Blu-ray player from north of the border as soon as it becomes available in a few months. I hear it will initially retail for less then $300, then who knows maybe in a few months it will dip below $200. This player seems like it's right up your alley because you know, it's cheap.
