To Anyone in the room:
I have the hdv5000 hd dvd player. I have had it for a while, and I had to download the update 2.0 to get it to work. Now I can play regular movies, but I CANNOT play any of my HD DVD movies. I've tried contacting RCA, Thompson, and other sources, but no one seems to want to assist me. When I call RCA, they give me all these numbers to call, and all I get are recordings, or they give me another number, and it just goes round and round. I'm very frustrated. Has anyone else had this problem. Can anyone offer a solution to this issue? I would appreciate any assistance, one could offer.

This is an HD-A1 HD-DVD player. Call Toshiba next, and perhaps they can help you.
