Spoonard, that might be true but I think a lot of people were buying DVDs because they weren't available in high definition currently. I know that I have. Plus the studios were holding back some of the titles because they were still unsure how the war was going to unfold. They didn't want to jump in full force if one format was going to flop.

Now that there is a clear winner, we can probably expect a lot more titles and a lot of the consumers that were waiting for the dust to settle can now jump in at their leisure.

Thanks for the congrats bro. You are only hurting yourself, and your eyes AND ears by not riding the BR bandwagon, just think of all you will miss out on because of being stubborn, or because "Sony is this, Sony is that"

The reason these dev's say the PS3 is hard to program on is because of the video memory, in that it dedicates it, instead of pooling it like the 360, which the PS3 is capable of WAY better things graphically then the 360, and just think of BR games how awesome they will be.So YES, these guys ARE lazy.

As far as up conversion, I hear the OPPO 98X's come REALLY close, and must be seen to be believed.

HD can only go up from here guys, so get on the bandwagon now, and enjoy the benefits of the quality video/audio that BR provides. No more sour grapes please, it is getting REALLY old. If you want to be a stickler for not supporting Sony and BR you are only depriving yourself of these benefits because of some unfounded vendetta you may be harboring for GOD know what reason.

the upconversion on the Tosh player is so good. you dont even need a girlfriend.
