I know all the rumors have been flying, but a legit news agency is finally picking it up:

So now what? Downloads? On-Demand? I wish the industry would hurry up and pick something for crying out loud. I feel like I'm taking crazy pills.

No offense, but I would take Reuter's or even BBC's news over any of the major American news outlets' such as CNN, Fox or MSNBC any day. More credibility, less sensationalism.

Vortex, you would not agree with me if the entire trinity came down from above, and said what I said was gospel. I feel the same about reuters as you do against all the major US news services.

Now i know this doesn't fit well with the original point of the post, but personally I can't stand Fox news, we get it here in Australia on cable........ and I only ever watch it when i need a good laugh. Seriously, it has some of the worst journalism i have ever seen, because instead of hearing facts and unbiased information, all i hear is the journalist speaking over the top of everyone and forcing their opinions upon them..... fair and balanced, yeah right.
From what I've seen of CNN, i haven't taken much issue, but personally all i want when i watch the news is to hear the facts, thats it, no opinions, no hidden adgendas, just facts. Something very rare in todays world.
Again, just my opinion.

If they did that on American network news, that would put the entire country to sleep - making it ripe for a sneak terrorist attack!
You have to understand that CNN and FOX are entertainment networks first and foremost. If they didn't entertain, no one would watch them - well except for a tiny group of people that just want the news. If you want news, just watch BBC or CBC - but I warn you. You will get sleepy.
That brings up a new thing. What is your favorite scene on an American news network? Mine I think was on Fox news, where Hannity and Colmes could only find two credible people to bring in and interview in the entire world that believed Terry Schiavo should be unplugged - two 17 year old girls with "Communism Rules!" written on the front of their matching t-shirts. I laughed my ass off! I do hope they come out with a "Best of American Network News" Blu-ray sometime.
