Hey I just checked Wally Worlds web site, to see if they started to de-fleece their HD DVD products. Now last week I was on there and all they showed was the Ventura HD DVD player and had a clearance tab on it. Well now they have the A3 listed on the site and it has a NEW tab below the picture. Ok, so can someone answer why would Wal Mart do this? New as in, ummm we NEW we were dropping HD DVD, so we figured we would clear these things out?

I am waiting to see if the HD DVD player and disc prices go up or down because of this supposed move by Toshiba.
I would like to pick up an A2 and another A35, and wonder if they will go on firesale clearance for $50 or go up in price as they sell like mad as people snatch them up before they're all gone.
Toshiba already has more than 1 million of them sold to the public, and there are still hundreds of titles available, with quite a few still HD DVD exclusive, even a nice deal of the upcomming releases.
HD DVD is a format with a decent installed fan base, and I figure you won't see any affordable Blu players from $ony for quite a few years.
Figure best to finish up purchasing the HD DVD library while the discs are still available, can't wait for Wal-Mart to have their current HD DVD collection in the $5 clearance bin.
More better to pick up the HD DVD versions for $14.95 on Amazon than wait for the Blu re-releases at $29.95 at a later date.
Go figure that the originally MSRP of most HDM discs was supposed to be around $40 before any discounts.

Yeah. Its kinda funny. This is the best time to buy HD DVDs. Soon you'll see all kinds of great HD DVDs become super cheap.
