Since PS3 is basically now a blu ray player, does that mean that Xbox and Wii have won the gaming wars. LOL

the whole format fight was at least largely also the same fanboy MS vs Sony fight we've dealt with for YEARS. Who cares how much MS stood behind HD-DVD....they were opposite Sony and therefor the enemy. I doubt this fight would have had nearly as much fervernt fans if either was not backed by one of the two.
Now that Blu Ray is the champ, look to see this whole fight start up again.

Sounds more like you trying to find some other way to shit talk Sony now that HD DVD got its ass kicked.
The Wii is the only winner, they make $ on every console and always have.

whoa dude, calm down. I own all three systems and I have to wipe the dust off the PS3 when I want to play it. That is just the way it is, and the top ten list for games reflect this, but if I have to take the bashing for mentioning this then go ahead. I am not that serious

I think it's fair to say the WII has hands down won the gaming console war.
However I think console preference for most people is dependent on what someone wants out of it.
WII - great for for it's interactvity but I wish it had more games especially in the online area.
PS3 - good all around system, the Blu Ray player has proved to be more than ad added plus, the only drawback I can think of it's limited selection of games. Dependent of course on what your gaming wants are.
Xbox - good all around system. The HD DVD add on was nice but far from a must have. The selection of games and Xbox live are really the strong selling points.
For me I'm a huge Sony fan and I was heading down the path to get a PS3. After talking to all my buddies it made more sense for me to get an Xbox so I could play online with them. I'm happy I did because of the game selection as well. I got hooked on the Cabela's hunting games. I bought the HD DVD add on which is a nicety to have but it looks like I got burnt on that. Hopefully they come out with a Blu Ray add on or I might have to get a PS3 for the Blu Ray aspect.
I like how people get in a tizzy about which one is better. Does it matter? I would say just get the one that best suits your own needs.
