Who else will be staying away from the message board tomorrow? I'm not a HD-DVD fanboy but the posts have gotten monotonous the last few days and I really don't think I want to read 700 posts tomorrow about Toshiba throwing in the towel.

I don't know. I'm kinda morbidly looking forward to it. Not for the gloaters or bad sports, but just to see the spin put on the news. Plus, what ELSE am I going to do at work tomorrow?

LOL, good point Jason, as long the regulars like us are here to poke fun at it. It should be ok, I'm just a little sad that unless I get a Blu-Ray player no more Grace Park in HD.

This is the first video "revolution" I've paid attention to and I've found it fascinating. I wasn't "into" video for the Divx/DVD stuff. I'm just hoping with this stupid "war" out of the way, we can come together to create a better Blu Ray.

To tell you the truth the only thing I learned in this format war is what studio makes what movies. The fact that either side had exclusives made us all losers.

Have to agree with you Jason, I've never bought into any home movie format until there was a clear standard. I didn't buy my first DVD player until it was well established and wouldn't have bought a HD-DVD player if I hadn't got it at a good price. Considering I didn't pay that much, I'm not that upset. It was a fun ride while it lasted.

Have to agree with you there Uni, I mean did anyone even think about things like Distribution rights before this?

Of course I'll check out the news. I might skip over some of the crap, but I would like to hear where Toshiba stands at this point.

I think I'm going to stop coming to these forums for a while. The thing is, we've all come to terms with it and we've already moved on, yet there are still people bragging about something that really doesn't matter. People take this stuff way too seriously and I'm not staying away because HD DVD lost. I'm staying away because of what this place has become. I give the admins and moderators credit for weeding out some, but today got worse.

I completely agree. Before this format war I had no idea what studios were making which movies except for 20th Centruy Fox distributing Star Wars, New Line distirbuting Lord of the Rings, Warner doing the Matrix and Batman and very few others.

This whole thing has been very educational in terms of not just studios but their catalogues titles as well.

Oh ya, I dislike Sony more than ever now. :p

I'll only come back to see how much longer I have to stock up on HD movies.
I originally started coming here for peoples thoughts on different HD movies. I try not to listen to the so called professional critics.

How many of you BD folks can't wait for The Hottie and the Nottie to come out on BD......hehehehe....JK

If anything I'll pop my head in to see what's going on but only on the main page.

Sorry, not leaving for a second, I have only published a portion of my current disc collection here, and will continue to check back and keep it updated for the foreseeable future.

I like the news updates, and will still remain here to decipher and respond to the spin from either side.

It's all good...
