The PS3 will do for Blu-ray what the PS2 did for DVD.

That's why games like Call of Duty 4, Devil May Cry 4, and Assassins creed all play better on the PS3.
So lackluster sales for the PS3 on these games compared to Xbox sales equals them being better how? was it that 20 min download for Devil may cry?
i'll even start your post up for ya:
<insert bullshit here>

I am certainly not gonna go out and buy a blu-crap player. I am going to use my HD DVD player to the fullest. While other people are going to be paying crazy money for a blu-crap player. Now. sony can take their time on keeping their prices high for these players, since they don't have any competition now. Too bad Toshiba decided to drop us, since we supported their format. The format was not won because consumers made the choice, but because Sony started to buy the movie studios like sell out warner bros, and fox.

The rest of you really need to learn how to deal with your denial better. The consumers bought Blu-ray by leaps and bounds over HD DVD. That is why the studios went Blu, and why Toshiba was forced to fold so quickly.
Maybe I was expecting too much by thinking a day of crying would be enough for the HD DVD fanatics. Maybe it will take a week before they can think clearly.
Either way, it's lots of fun watching them whine and complain and say how they're still dedicated to a now officially dead format. Good for you guys, keep ramming your heads into the same brick wall!
HA!

Theotter26... actually ^he can't, or won't answer because Profile 2.0 content (internet features) were not required to be part of the Blu-ray specs, and cannot be added via firmware/hardware update. Does not affect the other content on the disc though.
FYI - DVD also has (similar) interactive 'CD-Rom' special content, but most people never put the CD in a computer to actually check out that feature.
So, whether the 2.0 content is a big loss to those adopting earlier, all depends on taste, and if one really wants to see that featuure then another player purchase will be required, which surely will come down in price over the next year, as more companies adopt.... such as OPPO DIGITAL forthcoming Blu-ray players.

OMG SCOTTBAIO are you really 46 years old!..... I have never met anyone so immature... please tell me you are in your pre-teens!
Actually in fact you have my pity!... for you to spend what seems to be your entire time flaming users here that maybe offer intelligent discussion. You must have a very dull life.... if you really have a baby on the way go and get some fresh air and actually GROW UP before the baby is born! You have more important things to worry about than flaming people here like a spoilt 10 year old. In fact I bet you are that 'ANGRY GERMAN KID' on that movie that is floating around on YouTube
I don't have Blu-Ray or HD-DVD but anyone who has actually done any unbiased research could see HD-DVD was the better format for the 'END USER'. Frankly Blu-Ray has been a complete mess and needs at least another year to get to HD-DVD's level. Hell when it all kicked off I origionally supported Blu-Ray... but I actually did some research into the matter and frankly I was suprised how bad BLU RAY was initially.... ir still not so good now!. I even see Blu-Ray prices creeping up now
Oh yes and the PS3 as a game machine is average at best.... it will never be any more powerful than the 360... something called 'Unified Shader Architecture'. Go and read any 'LADYBIRD' books on this... if they have any for your level. Assasins Creed PS3 FPS was tragic compared to the 360.
And seriously is 'go cry, you babies' the best you can come up with! HAHAHAHA
