Why is the X-a2 so great? Is it better than the A-30 and why?

Yes it's better than the A-30, since the XA2 has the Silicon Optix Reon HQV video processor, along with analog audio outs. I believe the XA2 has audio options the A-30 doesn't have as well? Even the A-35 doesn't doesn't have the Reon though, making the XA2 still Toshiba's flagship player.

They don't make one yet. Thats why we all bought HD-DVD. But I'm sure Sony has the consumers best interest in mind and all will be resolved in the near future. Or you could just by that gaming machine.

I can't stop laughing...

Hey Falcon... yeah, I'm thinking that perhaps the forthcoming Panasonic BD50 2.0 profile player might EQUAL the great Toshiba XA2 player, that you noted above (Sound and Vision award).

Forthcoming Might Equal???

Something from the past MIGHT perform as good as something from the 'future'????

It's terribly sad, we are pushed to buy blu-ray, and it does not fully work across the board. When I buy stuff, I want not just the crust, but all the toppings. I want my money's worth. Seriously, where's the wrong in asking for what we deserve?

Like it was said in an earlier post, we bought HD-DVD because it fully works. Also, I am not getting one right away, but when I do get one, I am going to thoroughly look this player over, whichever one it would be, before I buy it.
