Twentieth Century Fox has added three more superheroes to "X-Men Origins: Wolverine," with Ryan Reynolds set to play Deadpool, "Friday Night Lights" regular Taylor Kitsch to star as Gambit and hip-hop artist will.i.am joining the cast as John Wraith.
Liev Schreiber, Danny Huston and Lynn Collins round out the cast as Victor Creed/Sabretooth, Col. William Stryker and Kayla Silver Fox, respectively.

Hugh Jackman reprises the role of Wolverine in the "X-Men" spinoff that Gavin Hood is lensing in New Zealand, Australia and New Orleans. Pic bows May 1, 2009.

David Benioff penned the script, which would reveal the origins of the Wolverine character and introduce other mutants not yet seen in the "X-Men" franchise.

OK, I suppose technically it's a post about a movie, so that's a start.

Is there any chance we can get you guys to talk about something other than superhero movies next? What can I say? I'm a dreamer.

By the way, what the hell is the deal with seemingly everyone on the 'net being obsessed with superhero movies and yet my local comic book store still being as empty as ever?

Wow I don't picture Will.I.AM being a good actor. Who knows, maybe he "Got it from his momma"
Ryan Reynolds should be a good add to the movie plus that will get my wife to go to the theater to watch it with me

Overall cast seems pretty decent.

What's anyones thoughts on Colin Farrel, Jude Law and Johnny Depp stepping in for Heath Ledger in the “The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus”. I think it's pretty cool and sounds like an interesting concept. (csjlong that was for you)

Happy to see some movie news today. I'm sick of all the Blu/ Red nerds trolling!

I like Ryan Renyolds, but I don't know if I like him as Deadpool. I really love the fact that we are FINALLY getting Gambit in the X-Men movies, but with they way they f'ed up Rouge, what is he going to do? I know he is an interesting character and there are tons they can do with him, but the Gambit/Rouge love story is what really made the two characters.

I'm afraid the Wolverine Origins movie and the possible Deadpool spin-off will suck, just like all the other Marvel Comics movies.

I must confess when I heard Kelsey Grammer was being cast as Beast in X-Men 3 I thought someone had lost their mind. I guess it was me because he was WAY better than I thought he ever could be as Beast so it was a very pleasant surprise. I actually thought he was great in that role.

I like Ryan Reynolds. I thought he was good in Blade 3. Will.I.Am though?? Not sure about that one but if Kelsey can do it...then again Kelsey has been acting for quite some time so he has experience.
