I will never buy blu. Sony is ripping people off with their high prices with the same quality that HD DVD provides. I am not going to give $300 or $400 dollars to Sony. Sony sucks and they can stick their BD in their ass till it turns Blu.

douggie99... FYI - I paid $499 (less 10% discount coupon from BBuy) in June 2006, for my Toshiba A1 (flagship debut player). Was I getting ripped off at that price?
Technology has a market price, and will get lower in time, and with competition. Don't know why you think $399 for a sophisticated PS3 unit is being 'ripped off' from Sony. But if you can wait awhile, look for $299 (and lower) Blu-ray players by the summer/fall, and definitely some great prices by the winter Xmas sales period.
