Me too Eddie! - Thanks Djfunk!

I was about to visit a local Sears who has the A35 model in stock ($285 at the moment), since the local BB and CC stores are sold out of this model.... and then I saw Djfunk's post.

REMEMBER - make sure that the player has firmware 1.3 installed (or get it from Toshiba), as without it some people have experienced some playback problems. After 1.3 though, no problems. And Toshiba just issued nother firmware last week (so it's even more up to date).

For that price you can afford to go Purple.

Firmware 2.0... stay away from it as it causes jaggies in 24P playback at 1080P. Stick with firmware 1.3

Toshiba says they will continue to Support, Warranty, and Service their HD DVD products.

Give them a call and ask if they are going to be releasing another firmware update soon to fix that problem.

Maybe they have a V 2.1 BETA on disk that they can send out to you until they get the next release up online..

The price is back up to $229. I wish I could get as it has 5.1 analog outs.
