High Definition :: HD DVD and Blu-ray

Since Toshiba plans to wind down HD DVD Player Production By Late March. So I guess the recent price reductions aren't a fire sale, It Appears That Toshiba Will Restock Before The End???

If we are seeing supposed fire sale clearance pricing now, what will Toshiba's newly manufactured players mean over the next month??

LG and Samsung are still manufacturing HD DVD Players, and what will Microsoft do with their 360 Add-On??

It now appears that Micro$oft won't be offering a Blu Ray Add-On for the 360 anytime soon...

Will they cease production of the HD DVD Add-On, or simply select a new manufacturer???

The HD DVD Promotions Group lives on still.

The HD DVD Promotions Group is a progressive extension of the Original DVD Forum, I guess HD DVD isn't over until The DVD Forum says it's over???

I post an intelligent, prospective, and realistic view, and you want me banned???

What are you afraid of???

Have I personally attacked anyone???

I can't be an HD DVD troll because it's already a dead format, right???

I have a P$3, so I can't be completely biased.

Read my DVD titles listing, I support ALL formats, but still I can't sit by idle and let someone trash a format that is not officially dead.

Toshiba is out, but the HD DVD Promotions Forum remains.

Not a lie, not an attack, not a fabrication.

As an extension of the DVD Forum, the HD DVD Promotions Group still lives on.

HD DVD isn't over until the DVD forum says it's over...

Henning Molbaek can ban me if he wants to, but I have not violated the DVDTOWN TOS and I don't see why he would do that.

I would expect a official warning if I was doing anything wrong.

Blu Baio is onto #3 so far and keeps posting personal attacks.

I attack no one and you can't stand my posts, so please simply ignore me if you wish to do so.

You will not be able to change my opinions, I am a dual format adopter, and I do have some serious reservations as to the manner that HD DVD is being aggressively sacked.

Please go on with your life and deal with it....

VC, I posted this to you on another thread "Something seems fishy", and think it belong here as well... (please move on)

VC... I know you are diligently holding out for some sort of miracle on continued USA HD-DVD releases after May, but it's not going to happen from any of the major studios. They are NOT going to pay TWICE for disc encoding masters, when sales of one format (HD-DVD) will be so much less than Blu-ray, now that everyone in the marketplace (especially the retailers) is going to unite to support one hi-def disc standard - Blu-ray.

Please stop the specualtions (and multiple threads/long speculative posts), and start planning for one of the better upcoming Blu-ray players, either the forthcoming (May) Panasonic BD50 model (with Panasonic's superior internal processing), or one of the summer (August probably) SONY Sapphire players - BOTH company's new models will be Profile 2.0, and should run between $400 to $700 (my guess) depending on specs and design.

I love HD-DVD too... but it's a BLU world now, VC.
