considering even today we have some new HD-DVD press releases (Atonement) I would forsee disks for the near future. Much like WB, anyone still in the HD-DVD camp will go ahead and make that money that's already out there.

Johnson316... you forgot BLADES OF GLORY (hehe)
Also, SHOOTER (although a few Blu-ray copies made it out for sale, before being re-called). Some joker on eBay a few months ago was selling the 'rare' BD copies for 'only' $75.
-JIMI (the Voodoo Child)

I would also like to see the 3 week delay removed. If they are going to publish the HDs wouldn't it be smarter to get to the market sooner now??

My guess is that Universal will leave the format after Fletch is released. They haven't announced anything since the WB news, so I'm thinking perhaps they signed with BD and that precipitated Toshiba's early departure. But hopefully they'll go dual format like WB until June. It looks like Paramount will also release on HD DVD until WB leaves. It makes sense for all of them to leave the format together, but it would be nice for them to throw HD DVD owners a bone now and then even after June and throughout the rest of the year, particularly with the day and dates. It would be a nice gesture of goodwill, IMO.
Edit: Just noticed that Universal has announced Atonement for HD DVD next month, so that's a good sign that they'll hang around a little longer.

They did today, Atonement.
Their press site also still have "CHARLIE WILSON'S WAR" HD DVD art and more.
However, as we know they could all get canceled in a heartbeat.

Did anyone who owns this actually pay for it? It was in literally every BOGO sale.

too bad Atonement is a combo (really, at this point, why even bother?) as I'd pick it up if it wasn't. Maybe I will...just depends if the Blu makes it out at the same time or not.

True, sort of pointless at this point. I usually watch my combos with the in-laws on Fridays and The Family on Sundays. My brother-in-law just ordered his A3 today. I told him HD has lost the war, but he said as long as it plays and makes his DVDs look better he will be happy since he is not going to spend more on a DVD player than he did on his HDTV. (His TV cost him $399.99 = SCOTT 32" Refurbished).
