Well I just read some pretty messed up news. I checked out TheDigitalBits.com and they say that Miramax will review a half a dozen versions of Kill Bill!!!!!

Kill Bill vol. 1, Kill Bill Vol. 2, Kill Bill vol. 1 SPECIAL EDITION, Kill Bill Vol. 2 SPECIAL EDITION, a two pack, & finally The Collectors Edition coming just in time for Christmas.

Miramax is just as bad as Warner when it comes to get as much money possible from their movies. I dunno about you guys but I think I made a mistake for buying Kill Bill Vol. 1.

I am totally gonna sell my vol. 1 when The Collectors Edition comes out. I knew there would be a Collectors Edition but I am not a patient person.

well, the films themselves might be different from dvd to dvd. for example, we might get to see the full-color version of "kill bill 1" that played in asia, and it'd be interesting to compare the color and b&w versions. still, i would advise hanging on to dvds just in case the first release has something that subsequent editions don't (since you already have that first dvd anyway rather than selling-and-regretting).

I'm not patient, but I will wait for the Kill BIll COllectors Edition. Also, I kind of liked the fight scene in black and white. While I think it would be cool to include the color version on the DVD as a deleted scene, i hope all that was B & W for the theatrical release in the US remains B & W for the Collectors Edition, and have them colored as alternate/deleted scenes on the DVD. The B & W was so cool, especially in the very beginning and during the sword fight, because of when she blinked and it went into color, and as she looks down on all the maimed bodies and you really see all the carnage she caused, it was more surprising that way. I never bought VOl. 1 because I knew this, but I really hope that Quentin does not do stand-alone supplemental discs a la Matrix Revisited or the American Pie Behind the Crust as he once discussed. That's a lame idea that would make me shell out even more $.

I totally agree with TGP. The B & W scene was great and it would be nice to check it out in color in the deleted scenes.

Now what is the most probability for what The Collectors Edition will be like? My guess is that it will be a 3-Disc set. Disc 1 would be Kill Bill vol. 1 (and hopefully a commentary by QT). Disc 2 would be Kill Bill vol. 2 (continued commentary). Disc 3 would be all the special features for both volumes. It would also be cool if it came with a special something, like in the Pulp Fiction DVD it came with the Jack Rabbit Slims menu & in Jackie Brown it came with a mini poster. It would also be cool if QT did a special intro for just this DVD.

What would be on the special editions of vol. 1 & 2 you think?

Yeah, wouldnt that be great.

I wonder, if the SPECIAL EDITION versions are 2-Disc would the COLLECTORS EDITION be 4 Disc or maybe in 5? It could happen. That would be cool.
