With the recent bogo's sales, and other incentives, has your personal HD-DVD collection grown considerably in the last 6 weeks?

I walked into the format in 2007 and had bought 9 discs for the first 6 months. Then, at XMAS time I decide to expand it even more, and now I have gone from 9 discs to 130 in 8 months. After buying all the movies I have purchased on HD-DVD, I felt it was time to retire their SD-DVD counterparts, so off to FYE they went, and I then added 12 more reds to the collection. I still have close to 800+ more DVD's to get rid of, and I have a total collection of 1800 including rares and $1 deals, but as of right now these films are not on either format so I just let them be, but I will hopefully convert each disc to some form of HD medium.

well, I can't say my HD-DVD collection has grown as dramaticaly as yours, but it has grown IMO. By mid-January I had like 15 titles and after the WB announcement and my state of shock settled, I decided to just increase my collection and I have almost 38 HD-DVD's as of today with 2 more in the mail and buying 4 more this weekend, plus two HD-DVD players two days ago.

With my tax return I should be buying anywhere from 10-15 movies. I would really like to grab as many as possible before they really start disappearing.

I have 7 coming in the mail right now, which represent a 25% increase over my current collection (I own 24 HD-DVDs - a modest number I know).

What can I say, I was a late adopter. In fact I paid $350 for my A20, just one month prior to the huge price drop. My wife was none too happy about that.

My name is Andy and I have a problem...

My collection started with the 2 freebies that came with the player in November 2007...add in the 5 for $10 off of the coupon with the player...coupled with the fact that I splurged on all the W/B titles I could get my hands on...I now have 43 discs...

Now if Amazon Canada offered the same deals as they do in the US, my collection could easily grow to 75 or 100 titles in the next month or two...but being I have to live with the 2 for $50 at HMV and the likes, plus whatever deals I can get on eBay...I will probably be adding only another 25 discs.

Damn you Amazon Canada from allowing me to enjoy my HD DVD experience!!!

HD-A30 owner here since December, thanks to the Amazon special posted on this website.

Just bought 3 HD DVD's from a friend who returned his HD-D3 to Costco for a $250 refund. He should have turned around and purchased a new one for $79.00. Did Toshiba start packaging these players with Bourne Identity and Bourne Supremecy, instead of 300?

I got a great deal for these three titles. All for $15.00
Apollo 13, Italian Job, & Batman Begins

Unfortunately, he had left Apollo 13 in returned player

He was able to retrieve it today. Just had to trade them the power cord that he originally left behind as well.
