Video rental chain Hollywood video is clearing out HD-DVD all discs in the catalog will be sold at 2 for $20.00 or $14.99 per single disc.
I picked up American Gangster still in the wrapping because they never put it out
Harry Potter collection
Alpha Dog
and 10 others.
They let me visually inspect each disc and I took the ones with no marks or finger prints.

I think so... but I doubt they would honor it for HD-DVD to be honest. However, most of the discs are like brand new so here is a chance to get discs for $10 a pop. Just beware, you will not get the original red case on older titles. You will get the original artwork. I got lucky with AG

Hollywood Video guarantees their previously viewed movies for 90 days. I know this cause I just went on my lunch hour and bought the entire Mission Impossible trilogy and the 5-disk special edition of Blade Runner for $10 a piece. So I bought all four films for $43 tax included.
Since they get their movies on regular DVD cases, I'm going to buy replacement HD-DVD cases. I founf this site: http://www.dvdinternational.com/pd_hd.cfm, hopefully is legit.

The nearest Hollywood Video is about 20 miles from here. It is snowing here at the rate of about an inch per hour and won't end until late tonight, so I won't be going anywhere today. I'll see what I can find tomorrow. Steve

As for future HD DVD software releases, Mr. Nishida could only say, "it was not our business, we cannot predict their business." Oh really? Is the lack of new titles on a dead platform really so hard to predict?
