What's inside your HD DVD player?

Hey, I'm kind of a junkie for this stuff. I wanted to know what exactly inside my machine. Finally I found a link. Wasn't quite sure if someone has posted this before, but go have a look. Just to let you know the Anchor Bay chips for video reside in $2000 scalers...

I was always wondering if the HD-DVD Add-On upscaled... and now I know! SWEET!

Also... at the time nothing... but... soon... maybe... 2001.

Inside mine is American Gangster HD which is incredible. Inside mine is also hope that Xbox makes a Blue Ray add on soon!

Just finished watching The Bourne Ultimatum. Sweet. I've got the Bourne Supremacy on the way from Amazon and American Gangster as well. I hope that LG (and hopefully others) keep making dual players - I'll be looking to get one of those when I go blu (I can't believe I've gone and said that ) so that I can play all my beloved red cased movies along with my future HD collection.

But yeah, Bourne Ultimatum. Next time around...it will probably be Serenity, as I've been wanting to see that.

I've watched Bourne Identity, and Supremacy on HD But not Ultimatum... Been meaning. I got the trilogy with my HD-DVD Add-On for free. God I love Amazon!

Thanks for the link. Good info. I'm interesting mostly in the upscaling chip (Video DAC). Here are the four different chips used, how would they rank (after the REON chip) in terms of cost and performance?

A1, A2: 11-bit/216MHz Broadcom BCM7411KPB0G

A20, A30, A35: 10-bit Anchor Bay Technologies' ABT1018 Video Reference Series

Bourne Identity is the last movie I watched in HD. I have U2 Rattle and Hum in there right now, but haven't got to play it yet - BUT I WANNA!

I'm stoked for Sweeney Todd - so getting that on HD and a 1-disc DVD.
