Well, this won't ever happen if MORE THAN ONE hi-def disc format is available! The studios don't want more -disc- competition, the game is over, decided, and BLU-RAY is the winner.
However, the studioes WILL support streaming/downloads, since it's another profit stream, and they can avoid disc replication/production costs.

No, I found a couple of articles the other day stating there would be the Venturer version hittting the North American market. Not the HD DVD, but the CH DVD. The article was dated the 19th of feb. Crap, I don't have time to look now, but I will post it...
