I am so very happy for my American cousins in being able to take advantage of the HD DVD disc fire sales, but what the hell?!?!

I live in Toronto and I take advantage of the sales on amazon.com everytime. Sadly it's cheaper to buy through them (even when there aren't sales) and pay for the shipping than buying it here.
If you buy in multiples you save a little on shipping. Intead of $7 and change for shipping one movie you pay $10 and change for 2 movies.
If we were able to enjoy the free shipping the American customers get that would be sweeeet.

I would also add that when you buy from Amazon.com we Canadians aren't charged GST or PST for some reason as well. This has also been my experience buying movies from JR.com.
BTW, it's been rumored that Best Buy and Future Shop may be having an up to 75% off sale on HD DVDs by the end of March... but I just heard this about from this guy at work, who heard about it from somewhere on the net, who... you get the picture.
