Is Universal planning to release Casino SE in near future? Is MGM going to release SE for Raging Bull. It is been out of print for a long time now.

Can't say about Universal's "Casino," but MGM have been doing some special editions of older films lately ("The Good, the Bad and the Ugly"; "The Great Escape"), so it's likely "Raging Bull" is on their agenda, too.

I'm hoping for an SE of "Raging Bull", too, but a real SE of "Casino" for me would involve cutting the movie down to about 1 hour 45 min.

You may be right, Eddie. Three hours of hearing the "F" word over and over can be redundant. However, I love "Casino" and I'd rank it as one of my favorite mobular style films.

Maybe next generation of DVDs will be on a small chip where u can add or remove scenes of a movie.. Sounds weird but if we have got halographic technology then it can be done..:)

Tim,

Well, the first half of the movie was really interesting, especially when Scorsese was showing how casinos work. However, since I didn't care about any of the characters other than the one played by De Niro, I was bored by the second half involving all the characters going down the drain.

Actually, I think it would be hilarious if the same fate that befell Joe Pesci's character in Casino was also met by posters5 :D

Looks like Universal has announced the SE for Casino for June 2005.
