You'll have to explain to dumb people like me how Sony buying LCD panels from Sharp is immoral.

So I guess HDMI is a product produced from an orgy.

Yea its no secret that Sony has now sold on all of its microchip production facilities in western Japan to Toshiba Corp for 90 billion yen ($835 million).

Sony has been losing money on ever PS3 made and has been hemoraging money for years now. So yea Toshiba actually now gets a better return on PS3s than does Sony. By the mere fact that it doesn't loose 100s for every unit sold.

Sony's currant priority is not Blu but image sensor chips for digital cameras which have a high profit margin and in the grand skeem of things are Sonys best chance of becoming profitable again someday.

One of the driving forces for Sony to produce Blu was its need to not have to pay Toshiba for every DVD player it produces (Toshiba owns most of the pattens for DVDs).

Umm... Sony has been profitable for quite some time now. Did you read their last 3 quarterlies? How about their annual ending March 31st 2007? Sony also has almost 8 billion (yes, that's BILLION) in CASH right now, even before this chip plant sale is finalized. Yeah, they're hurting big time!
