Does anyone know if there is a special firmware for stalingrad of if anybody is going to create one? i have an HD-D3 and it wont even reconize the disk.

Right now, there is a bug in the current firmware, version 2.0, for the current lineup of Toshiba 3 series players.
This disc will play on the 2 series players as well as the XA2 and the Onkyo, but not the HD-H3, 30, 35.
I have a tech notice into Toshiba and I will know tomorrow if they will be addressing this issue in the next firmware update...in about 8-10 weeks.

Wow, without even having different profiles, HD DVD sometimes does not play. How interesting.

major, this appears to be the only disc I have ever heard of or encountered that has had a play-back issue...I will advise when I get my beta firmware update from Toshiba next week.
