But not so fast where other catalog titles get put on the back burner because they'll only release so many movies at a time.
They better not, because I want Apocalypse Now THIS YEAR. You hear that Paramount?!
It's bad enough that they're making us wait until next year for Ben-Hur. Sheesh, I hope I don't get run over by a bus before then...

Nothing is ever really set in stone now is it. But, that list comes directly from WB themselves and not Blu-ray.com. There is no need to be argumentative just for sake of it.
And no need for you to pass it off as fact either and imply that all the exclusives will get released this year. If pointing this out is seen by you as being argumentative for its sake, then I'm sorry that I misjudged you.

Perhaps you're right, but I didn't mean like 4-5 years, but more likely 2-3 years or so (from all studios"
1) Pee Wee Hermen never sang "Rubber Duckie", philistine.
2) Wrong, and wrong and wrong. I think within a year we'll be seeing 90% of titles already on HD-DVD posrted ove to Blu Ray. A year.
I would bet that it won't be over 60% in a year from now.
I never heard of "Rubber Duckie". Give me another analogy please. )

OK Bruce. You hold on tight to your HD copies of those WB exclusive, but I'm pretty sure I'll be picking them up on Blu-ray later this year.

Just don't bet your life savings on it. We wouldn't want you to go broke.

I sure will, there's nothing wrong with them. And as long as Universal doesn't hold back other catalogs they otherwise would have released this year and next, I hope their titles on HD DVD get released ASAP. We are all on the same side now, and even though I have many more HD DVD movies, I'm still proud to own them and no doubt I'll own even more movies on Blu-ray in a couple of years. DVD is the only obsolete format, technically speaking.

Actually, I probably won't bet more than 20 bucks, given how fast things went south for us HD DVD supporters.

There are so few titles (and most, if not all of those are nature videos) that are shot in 1080p or movies that have been fully remastered for HD... that most titles will look the same in 1080i or 1080p (Blade Runner would be one of the few exceptions, for example)!
I would wait for a 2.0 profile blu-ray machine. It's highly unlikely you'll die before you get to own and enjoy hi-def movies at home!

You have until Thursday February 28 to get the 5 freebies by mail. After that it is all over because I am sure SONY will not offer anymore freebies now that they won the standoff.
