does anyone here consider this lcd made my samsung okay? oh and the cost is $799(tax included)

Yes, for that price ($799) this TV is worth buying. Use progressive signals whenever possible from your input sources (disc etc), as the TV has a better picture here than with interlaced signals.

Generally, I personally prefer Sharp for LCD, but the Samsung model above, at that price, is worth a purchase.
