How is the sharp Blu-ray player as far as playing movies and them playing? I watch like 85% percent of mives from netflix, and don't really care about picture and picture so long as I can watch the special features(which i rarely do) in some way. And also its 399 at best buy does anyone see this price dropping soon? I have a tax refund coming soon that wants me to spend it

We've had this out a work for a while. It's played everything we've thrown in it so far. The only one we had a problem with was Ratatouille which would freeze on the dancing rat Icon. Forcing us to turn off the player and turn it back on.

If you can wait a little while longer, then the new Philips BDP7200 player that's going to come to the market in less then a month may be for you. It's a profile 1.1 player (I know you don't really care about that), it will also be able to bitstream both Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD MA to receivers capable of decoding them, and it also promises to have fast load times. Best of all it has an MSRP of $349.99 which means soon after it's release you may able to pick it up for around $300.

Here is a pic of it:

Now my only question for you is, where did you get it for that price?

It has been proven that Samsung rebrands for a lot of manufactures. My advice is buy the player, and crack the case carefully. Find out what's indie then, if turns out to be a samsung, return it. Shap is not normally known not have it stuff outsourced, but you never know. Samsung=crap! Buy a Panasonic.
