FYI: Best Buy sold out!!!

Just an FYI, Best Buy is sold out of all HD DVD players on line. Not sure if they have any in stock in store.

Just out of curiosity, what if Toshiba decided to continue making HD DVD players? And movie studios (who had already produced HD DVD discs) would go back and making them since there should be a higher number of players in a higher number of households? I mean, it's not gona happen, but what if? :

I thought Toshiba said HD-DVD players would be in production until 3/31/08?

I'll alert the newspapers.

I thought you meant the store had sold out, as in somebody had paid them off! I was all excited to read another juicy, controversal conspiracy plot in the making, and it turns out you only meant the store is out of stock on players. Oh, well. Great title, anyway.

John, Bestbuy had zero incentive to promote one format over the other.

In fact Bestby just recently made the "announcement" that they would be recommending bluray over HD DVD...cause you know...that wasn't happening the whole time.

I just check Best Buy's website and they are not sold out.

On my Best Buy site, the A3, A30,A35 is sold out on line only. Just trying clarify my original thread.
