Most original films in the last ten years?

Man I am getting tired of re makes on other hollywood junk. What do you think are the most original films of the last ten years? I think EVERY Disney Pixar movie and The Matrix. Those are the ones that came to mind!

Even when it is based on a book, Million Dollar Baby seems very original. I heard Hairspray is very 'new' too. Brokeback Mountain is a love story but with a a fresh approach. Little Miss Sunshine is a family epic that is very enjoyable (and 40 year old Virgin is just fantastic). Pan's Labyrinth, if you like 'adult fairy tales'. Children of Men. But of course, those are mostly the ones I've seen, I'm pretty sure there is some indy stuff that's also good.

I also agree with Pixar (Incredibles, Cars and Ratatouille being the most original), and Matrix, just the first movie.

Of course, that's IMO.

OK lets narrow it down to movies not based on books or comics!

Yep, Peter Parker dancing pretty original (no, really), and lame... (man, did Spiderman3 suck)...

40 Year old virgin is also very original.
