Oh paramount has never done this before have they? They did it once but I guess it doesn't count since it was BD. Now hd-fans know how it feels.

I knew this was coming, I've been saying it that there was the big chance of Paramount canceling Bee Movie and others since I saw there was no upcoming HD-DVD titles in their official website. But not even the Jack Ryan collection? That's messed up. But I guess it should not be a surprise at all since they pulled the same crap to BD when they went HD-DVD exclusive.

I hope somebody at Paramount leaks out at least the Jack Ryan Collection. he he.

That's too bad. I was looking forward to There Will Be Blood on HD DVD. I'm not surprised too surprised this happened, I've been half expecting it since HD DVD's were pronounced dead. I don't understand why they wouldn't release a limited number of the movies though. This close to their releases dates, I would imagine that the discs are already in production.

FR... keep monitoring the markets outside of North America, as some titles might still appear later on HD-DVD over the coming months, and you can import, either from Amazon's European websites, or Ohio's xploitedcinema.com (very good source, and great service).

Thanks for the link Hendrix. I haven't actually bought my HD DVD player yet (I'm going to get my 360 add on later today) so I haven't really looked into importing any movies yet.

Are there any import BR titles that will play on NTSC players?

FR... YES are 'region-free' and will play on worldwide players. See my comment (2nd from top) on THIS THREAD.

I was so excited to finally see There Will Be Blood. I skipped the theatrical release (as usual with all films) and was poised and ready for the April release of the HD DVD.

I'm almost tempted to just get the DVD version but I feel dirty buying DVDs. Guess it's time to get a PS3... *sigh*

Starship Troopers ?????/... haa

honestly most ovverated movie by me.

This movie is one of my "Guilty Pleasures". I know the dialog by heart, I know every word, note, and nuance of the Mazzy Star and Zoe Poledouris songs and own all their music after buying the ST soundtrack. And I've got all that music ripped in FLAC lossless format for enjoyment through my PS3.

Yes, I know it's embarrassing. But I can't help it!

Gotta hand it to Paul Verhoven, he knew how to make enjoyable but cheesy sci-fi films.

Robocop is one of my favorite films.

Skyhawk and DJfunkmaster,

That's funny because it's like one of those situations that you don't dare say that it was a good movie because everybody would look at you strange, but the funny thing is that everybody is thinking it was a good movie but keeping their mouths shut until somebody came out of the closet, then everybody says YES that was a cheesy but good movie.
