I haven't grabbed the BD set yet, but this was one of the highlights of Summer 2007 (and "Mad Men"). I'm eagerly awaiting the new season.

I think if I were to ever write a thesis it would probably end up being 90% pictures. Maybe I'd even make it a pop-out book.

Veteran-Viewer...
Your post is very angry (and geared against immigrants maybe(?), but let's not start there, you don't want to lose, I am going to win)...I am a Mexican and I can assure you that not only am I bilingual, but I have a better English vocabulary (and better education) than many Mexicans, US Americans either 'white', 'black', 'etc.' here in the U. S. of A.
Remember, this message boards are here for the free exchange of ideas and thoughts, and as far as I remember, being a good speller does not mean that you won't be able to express your idea...
BTW, when I read this post, I thought "it sounds gay" lol
...no offense to anybody...

I do NOT need to get with anything, and from what area are you calling me a foreigner? I don't speak spanish and have no need to get with anything that Mexicans use, which is another indication of how they don't assimilate here in the United States. I see brown people! Some are here legally, some are not. The ones that are not should GET OUT!
Wow dude you really need to relax. For the record I am a 35 year old white male from Canada (not that it matters), not an illegal alien as you so kindly imlpied. Regardless, you really need to relax, I was simply bugging you because you were harping on some poor chap for poor written English. I would rather read some guy's broken English than listen to your defensive, racial rants.
Your racial tirade aside, I'm sure you're a nice guy but you should really think before you type...you know, it's just as important WHAT YOU SAY, as HOW YOU SAY IT. Comprendo friendo???

You say you are a mexican. Not that there's anything wrong with being a mexican, but are you in the U.S. legally? I do have a problem with people coming here and trying to make MY country like their country.
How can you assume he's trying to make your country like Mexico? And if not, how does this add to the conversation? I'm sure he's conforming to your exact image of what a good American is supposed to be. I bet he's even given up beans and rice for steak and potatoes!!! Oh wait. Steak and potatoes is Canadian... isn't it?
Oh all this is very confusing. I think I'll have "adobong pusit" with rice for dinner tonight just to be different!

Tim, I can understand the American point of view. You shouldn't make fun of it!
Last time I was in Manhattan and hailed a cab, a Mexican chap with a guitar and a big hat on a donkey picked me up! I would have put in a complaint, but to be honest we did beat all the Yellow cabs in the city by taking the sidewalks and just stepping round them. I ended up tipping him pretty good in the end.
God, I just love racial stereotypes!

Just to end the controversy, I thought that Veteran's comments were racist and ignorant, period...
As for the title of the thread, it did sound gay, lol, just a bit...
EDIT: Oh, and I won't fall for VV games...

It's actually good to learn another language. Studies have shown it stimulates the brain in the ways of becoming sharper and more keen -- plus there's that added benefit of being more cultured in the world. In many first world countries it's common to have more than one language. I think Canada has both languages, English and French!
The only reason any country claims to have an official language is due to government cost and spending. If the US were to make Spanish one of our official languages then the gov would need to fork up the cash for spanish books in schools and teachers, which I'm sure the gov would tack up as a billion+ dollar deal. Now VV's point of view comes across as the rightwing, conservative that is all hell bent on saying what is right just because it's right -- there's no ryhme or reason other than ignorance and fear which leads everyone to throw up the race card.

it's about right and wrong, and about maintaining our way of life - AND not becoming a third world country (which is the way the USA is headed)!
So, are you blaming the German immigrants forcing you to learn German, or the Mexican immigrants forcing you to learn Spanish that has caused the USA to head toward third world status? I'm confused!
Anyhoot, income disparity along with a hierarchal social system largely delineated by race is what has sustained rich white folk. The US isn't the first country to adopt such a system, nor will it be the last. You should be glad. And quit preaching Lou Dobbs material. It's very tiresome.

Tim, I actually like Hank Hill's character. Sure he's conservative, but he's not completely "set" in his ways. He's more conservative in the way I was brought up to be, rather than totally rigid. He accepts his dysfunctional family and his Asian neighbors in a wonderfully satirical way. IMO that show is way underrated.

and we also make a lot of products which are easier to use if you already have a functional knowledge of English.
To be honest, most of the products available today have directions that are much easier to understand if you know Mandarin!
Sorry, I couldn't help myself.

Aww yes, yet another country built upon "illegal immigration" and conquest. It's an interesting history. Too darn bad we can't take the kids out and teach them about hunting those salvages that brought in a good 5 cents a scalp! Those were the days....

Phobia of women on power...what's it called?
Anyways, I agree with the border, since most of us have fences in our houses. Building the border will create jobs, that YES, ironically will be filled by many [illegal] immigrants.
I also think the official language should be English, and that no forms should be available in Spanish, since you should assimilate to your new surroundings.
And no, I'm not ignorant or anything, I've had the fortune of living on both sides of the border, and living in many different places, meeting many people with many stories, being looked down because of my accent, so what? I used to live in a mostly white 'suburb' town, and I was in the top 20% in high school, what about the rest? Many were Hispanic and Black, but most were white...
Anyways, again, the title of this post sounded gay...
