Wow, so WB is actually keeping its word with the "occasional" HD-DVD titles. WB will be releasing late May HD-DVD stand-alone versions of Ocean 11 and 12 (BD 3 weeks earlier). Which in this case makes perfect sense since Ocean 13 is already out and the only way (until now) to get the other two films was to get the trilogy. Good move WB!
Hopefully WB will keep the occasional titles coming after May.

Any word if they will be Combo discs or HD DVD only??
I only ask this because I have portable DVD players, and also take movies with me when I travel.
The combo is more expensive but still cheaper than buying the DVD and the HD DVD.
Unfortunately the Blu versions don't have that option...
Maybe if the DVD Forum officially declares HD DVD dead, they will license a Combo DVD/BD version in the future.

IMO, all HD DVDs released from now on should be combos...
Oh, BTW, do you classify your combos as HD DVDs or DVDs??

Can't you already order the Ocean's Trilogy on HD DVD from Amazon? Yeah, check it here:
http://www.amazon.com/Oceans-Trilogy-Eleven-Twelve-Thirteen/dp/B000W9MMPU/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=dvd&qid=1204399935&sr=1-1
$36.49 for all three. Not bad. I guess that'll be my next aquisition now that I think about it. Don't you guys go buying them all up now!

I consider them as HD DVD's since I have 3 HD DVD players to watch them on.
Better than 95% of the time, they are used for HD DVD playback.
My kids have a few portable DVD players that we take on vacation, and also most decent hotels have DVD players in-room, so they are great for travel though because you can flip the disc over and play it in a DVD player.
I buy them as part of my HD DVD collection though, the backwards compatibility is just a nice bonus.
Going forward, I wonder if the BDA will ever consider such a combo format for a different reason, the fact that my P$3 is going through round 2 at the repair shop, and I can't watch any Blu Ray movies at all without a Blu Ray player.
No option exists with BR to flip the disc over and play it as a SD DVD.

I consider combos HDDVD/DVD's as "Combos". lol
But if I were to choose I'd choose HD since my primary player is HD.
As for the Ocean's Trilogy, yes you can buy it but if someone already has the stand-alone of Ocean 13, he/she would be hessitant to buy the trilogy since he/she already has O13 stand-alone.
