No, the "bs" isn't over^ (see above)
Worldwide sales of Blu-ray media outsell HD-DVD, by very large margins in some countries. WHY is this hard for you to understand?
Move on, fall in line, and plan now for a 2008 Blu-ray player purchase, and put this format war behind.

Being the HD DVD 'fanboy' that I am, it is a shame that HD DVD still has a 20+% of HD discs sales...well, a shame for blu...

Bold statement there JIMI...
Hendrix, I hope that your comment is tongue in cheek. lol
I don't see you posting any of the contents of your disc collection, so there is no real telling as to what kind of bias you really have.
Or you have really emerged as the the supposed 'Dual Format Supporter', but in reality Bleu Shill that you really are.....
Is the Voodoo child actually the BluDoo child???

Video,
Love has been one of the most unbiased format posters we've had here at the Message Board, providing helpful information on both HD DVD and Blu-ray over the past couple of years. It's not a matter of his being for or against anything. He's just being practical and honest, and I would echo his sentiments: The war is over. It's time to move on.

Even though I am very new here, I'd like to point out the fact that LH has given me more pro-HD DVD news and info than anyone else. The Voodoo Child is more purple than anyone here as far as I can tell.

not buying a blu player full stop
have accepted that bd has "won"
i was asking a question, if blu is all conquering then why does the chart show a steady decline in blu sales?
thats what i was asking

Tummy has a point. BR sales didn't grow exponentially, they slid in comparison. A lot of that may be cause due to the huge slash in HD DVD prices though. Everyone is buying before the media disappears. So he is right from a certain point of view.

Sorry if I sounded a little harsh on LH there guys, but his Put Up AND Shut Up inference that everyone should just forget it and buy a Blu player in 2008 like we are supposed to do really irked me.
And I already have a P$3
Not that I won't see it again until late this week because it's still out for repair, and then it technically belongs to my 3 kids who monopolize it every minute that they aren't in school or doing their homework.
I can't afford to sit up until 3AM each night just to get time on the P$3 to watch a few movies.
I also can't afford another $500 for an incomplete standard Blu standalone, and I won't buy another P$3 because I don't want another game console and it's associated poor reliability.
The damn P$3's run so hot you can practically heat a small room with one of them, it's no wonder they keep burning out the drives.
If the BDA is lucky, I would consider buying another Blu player when they go below $150, but I don't think that will be this year or the next.
It's whatever I can get on HD DVD and SD DVD, and over to HD On-Demand cable TV, maybe some Internet downloads, and a FEW Blu titles for when I can wrestle the P$3 away from my kids.
More likely to rent Blu discs than to buy, but even my local Blockbuster video admits that there is so low demand for Blu Ray discs that they won't be stocking any until this Summer, then only small quantities and a very limited amount of titles.
I don't plan to build any type of large Blu Ray library, because other technologies will offer some serious competition before the prices on Blu stuff become consumer friendly, and I don't want to be stuck with yet another 'Dead Format', and this time an overpriced one at that.
Oh well, I see Amazon just put Charlie Wilson's War up for pre-order on HD DVD, so I'm off to check into that...
