I heard supernova.org and a few other torrents now have strong postings of 28gb full size hd dvd files. i also believe there is a firware upgrade for the XE1 HD DVD player that enables it to play them. i know this is like an elvis spotting rumour but still, as long as this is true we may all revel in free HD DVD torrents.

I'm not holding my breath. This sounds more like hackers (and wanna be hackers) trying to capatalize off the death of HD DVD.

in fairness both formats have been available on torrent sites, including bd+ titles...nothing new

YES, these are not something new by any means. You can also get the BR and HDDVD x264 files which are between 4-8GB, and they look amazing when played on my XB360 after converting them to play on it.
