I wanted to stick with Toshiba and wait for a Toshiba Blu player but when I herd that they wouldn't be going blu i went ahead and bought a PS3 2day. My first blu movie is "Stealth" and i must say the picture was excellent!! I'm very happy with my PS3 and after I downloaded the Ratchet and clank demo I don't think i wasted any of my money. I will say that now having both like many people have said there was never any real difference in picture quality between the 2 my HD DVD copy of transformers will probably look just as good as the blu version when its released. I do feel like I've betrayed toshiba in some way but one thing is for sure i'll always look at toshiba products in the future first before any other brand and im sure many others think the same way I do. Now all I want are those now canceled HD DVD universal and paramount movies to come out on Blu and i'll be happy. As far as the HD DVD movies i already have i see no point in replacing them they still work and so does my player.

I felt like that too...but later I realized that Toshiba left all of the HD DVD supporters hanging. Screw them! I own both formats now (HD-A35 & PS3) and I love both machines. The PS3 is actually a lot faster than the HD-A35 (booting up).
Side note: I also owned the LG BH200, but gave that to my dad. The PS3 I have now is future-proof. Again, I love it.
