I bought a region free Toshiba SD-68KV DVD player from Region Code Free DVD. Do these players usually come preset to play all regions, or would I need to change regions via the menu each time I wanted to play DVDs from different regions?

Thank you.

HD DVD is region free...but keep in mind, that due to Toshiba's lack of foresight, there maybe movies that your player cannot play due to limitations in the firmware of your player.

For standard DVDs, region codes still apply.

Thanks for the response, but this is a standard format DVD player, not HD or Blu-Ray.

It's probably best to check the documentation that came with the player.

It only comes with its original manual. The site says it's supposed to do it automatically, so here's hoping.

The norm now is that "Region Code Free" players do it automatically. Mine does.

So I'm sure all you have to do is put in a disc and hit play.

Hope it works for you.
