Although I own over 1,200 CDs that I've accumulated since the format began, I'm dying for new stuff.
Something along the creative force of ELP's Tarkus, with the guitar virtuoso of Joe Satriani, Hendrix, Metheny, and Zappa, with the melodic overtones of Pink Floyd, Genesis, and the dark corners of The Cult would be ideal. Heck, even mix in the vocals of the Cocteau Twins. I'm easy. It can be new Latino, Jazz, Heavy Metal... I don't care. As long as it's after the year 2000 and as good or better than what I just mentioned. Just know that I don't want any top 20 radio Britney Spears crap.
Any takers? I seriously need help!

If you want something a little hard intertwined with Techno-electronica check out Nine Inch Nails.

If you like electronica try Depeche Mode (Violator, Song of Faith and Devotion, Playing the Angel). Also if you like alternative with a touch of goth try The Cure (Disintegration, The Head on the Door, The Singles)

I am a HUGE ELP fan. I've seen them in concert numerous times. A-M-A-Z-I-N-G. I have the gold Tarkus CD my wife bought for me for my birthday years ago. I can't believe you and I have some common ground, Sky.

That is a little scary, isn't it?
BTW, thanks for the suggestions guys. Most I already know about, but some I haven't revisited in awhile since they're lost someplace in my ripping pile.
