I was wondering what Hd-dvd titles might have been in limited print that i should be looking for.
Wanted to know if i need to jump on Blade Runner, American Gangster and Beowolf at ~$20 or can i wait to get them at $10 to $15

also what are some of the best import HD titles out there.
I know T2 just got another release, any others?

I'm sure it will be some of the lower profile titles like Darkman, Timecop, Last Starfighter, U571, Tremors and such. BTW, a lot of these are $10.49 on Bestbuy.com right now.

The "Last Starfighter" is low profile? Say it isn't so!

I actually own that one too, but the transfer is just so-so, but still better than the DVD I also own.

Add Tremors and UB41 to that list too! grrr....

Come on, you know what I meant. It's not meant literally, I was just responding to the OP's question. Compared to King Kong, Transformers, Beowulf, American Gangster, Batman Begins and the likes, Last Starfighter, Tremors and U571 are pretty low key. Don't get me wrong I love all three movies, but I doubt you'll find as many of these in circulation as some of the big titles.

OMG, how anyone can compare Beowulf to the masterpiece "The Last Starfighter" is beyond me!

I guess that LS movie holds a lot of nostalgic value for me, if nothing else. Plus at the time I was very into CGI possibilities and predicted that it would get more popular, even if Cray super computers were required to render it. It represented a landmark in movie history, even if it was kinda lame in modern terms. But cute also...

To me Tron is a much more significant release in terms of computer generated special effects, and it was also released a couple of years before the Last Starfighter. But, I still like LS even though it looks quite dated now.

You can't. LS would destroy Beowulf in a direct comparison.

Actually this was offered in the first five free HD-DVD promotion. So I would think it would be pretty easy to find second hand.

If you can find Casablanca I'd scoop that up.
