i want to Buy an HD DVD Player but i hear that Blue Ray Won The Battle of Wars & i needed to ask a Question, 2 Weeks aga Toshiba said they will No Longer sell there HD DVD Player & i hear there gonna do away with HD DVD's, is that really True? couse i wanted to buy an HD DVD Player & i was gonna buy a Blue Ray DVD Player when they knock there Prices down to $100 - $200 & i hear in a Couple of Years there gonna do the Same to Blue Ray , there gonna Discontinue that also to bring out HD-on-Demand units become the standard for Highdef movie delivery, is that really gonna happen, is it worth buying an HD DVD Player right now?

If you have a HDTV, it is worth while to pick up a HD DVD player just for the upconversion properties! I agree with you. Blu-Ray is too expensive right now for what it does. Prices will fall at some point. Like hendrix said there is nothing wrong with DVD. The majority of DVD's on the shelf are being mastered in HD, before being converted down. The Quality that you are getting out of DVD, has never been this good. If you happen to stumble upon a HD DVD player, pick it up. There is great deal and sales on Movies right now!
