Uh... I'm pretty sure you actually meant George C Scott, as the real George Patton had long been dead by then!

That was taken directly from the synopsis off the studio website. I'm not sure if it is a typo though, it could be just referring to the character played by Scott. Apparently Scott also refused the Oscar.
