I've enjoyed Mariah Carey's 4-octave singing voice since her first album, and own her 4 LaserDiscs, and 2 of her many DVDs. Apart from an attempt at acting years ago (the badly scripted Glitter movie in 2001), her music career has remained strong and successful, and I'm still a fan of her music (not a major fan, but still a fan).

Interesting that this new Blu-ray is being released thru Image Entertainment, despite the fact that she's had a long career with Sony Music. I don't own her latest CD, so maybe she is no longer on a Sony-distributed label(?).

Mariah Carey has passed Elvis Presley for the most No. 1 singles on the Billboard Hot 100, and is now second only to the Beatles. Ms. Carey's single "Touch My Body" is the new No. 1 single on Billboard's Hot 100 singles chart. The song, her 18th chart-topper, also is No. 1 on the trade magazine's digital download chart, with 280,000 downloads in its debut week. She had been tied with Elvis Presley with 17 No. 1 singles - the Beatles are the all-time leaders with 20. Madonna also beat a Presley record this week, surpassing the King for the most-top 10 hits with her 37th, "4 minutes." - Associated Press

3-disc on bluray? Doesn't bluray have like 50GB discs?

WHATS WITH THE 3 DISCS!?!?

Falcon, I believe the 3rd disc in the 3-disc set is a computer-related copy, but I'm not certain. The other 2 discs feature the ample content (concert, bonus features) and matches the many other 2-disc SpEd Blu-ray Music releases, like those by Shakira, David Gilmour, Celine Dion, Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds, etc.

2-disc sets provide much material, and depending on the main feature's audio tracks and length, usually requires a 2nd disc, so the first disc's main feature can be provided with maximum A/V quality (hopefully).
