Why wasn't this released on HD DVD? It makes no sense. Isn't that the whole point of the high definition dvds-the whole movie experience. I've been waiting forever to the extended version to be released on dvd. How long do I have to wait for the HD DVD release?

Since Universal has abandoned HD-DVD... You're better off getting the regular edition that they released.

I agree. I just recently read an article about Wal-mart, Best Buy and Netflix dropping HD DVD. Granted, I wasn't looking forward to purchasing both players, but I was willing to do it now that the prices had gone down. It reminds me of when I bought a (used) laser disc player only to have dvd players take over. HD DVD player owners are stuck with something that will only play the few movies they've purchased. I'm so glad I waited. I would be PISSED right now if I'd purchased a HD DVD player. It should've been one format from the very beginning. Dumb!
