Since I have been replacing all my SD's with HD-DVD it has been a Rollercoaster of making things work out right...

I recently took in 127 DVD's to FYE and actually scored $579..00 in Store credit, and most of these discs were original DVD releases. So I ended up adding 20 more HD-DVD's to my collection because the manager has been giving me 20% off all my HD-DVD purchases.

Since most of the stores want to end their HD-DVD collections, just talk to the manager and work out a deal.

FYI, there was a brand new in box XA1 at the FYE at the Arundel Mills mall in Hanover, MD. They want $299.99 but the manager was willing to let it go for $200.

Never did understand trading in all SD's for HD. Some movies just don't need it. I've upgraded 6 or 7. but the rest of the HD movies I've bought are ones I didn't already own. I still by SD if the movie isn't one I feel needs the upgrade to experience the full effect.

My BB has "30% off on all HD DVD software." Unfortunatly, your savings are relative because BB starts off high, but neverthe less, there are some good (well, maybe fair) buys there. Oddly, a casual glance at the racks indicates that they still have the same number of BD and HD DVD disks in stock. I don't know why. Could it be that the discounted HD DVD disks aren't selling? The BD disks aren't selling? They both aren't selling? Is there not a surge in BD sales after the demise of HD DVD?

If they drop to $15, I think is a good deal...

About BB 30% off, I recommend you all to take the movies to an associate or the register and have them scan it to see how much they actually are. I bought Tremors and Inside Man. Both are price labeled at $24.99 but when I took them to the register, Tremors actually rang for $14.99 which is more than 30% off (40% off).

These are the magic numbers to look for:
$34.99= $23.50 +/-
$29.99= $21.50 +/-
$24.99= $17.50 +/-

So if the movies scan for less, is your gain. If the movies scan for more, then tell the cashier and they'll take out the correct percentage. Either way is a win-win situation.
