Not sure where they see this going but since Tosh withdrew from the HD market NME stories have started to crop up.

Unless they get the major studios to release on this format, it is already dead before it hits the market. I mean I am not an anti religous guy, but you can only watch so many what I like to call non market movies. I mean how many Vegi Tales movies can we watch anyways LOL.

They don't have studio support but they do have films like

Pulp fiction
Lucky Number Slevin
The Passion of the Christ
Sleepy hollow
Saw II
Monster in law

Not a great selection of films, but they have to start somewhere.

So . . . are these players being built in Scotland? If so they'd probably be of high quality, otherwise they're just crap!

Sadly I'll have to pass on the VMD player because all 3 of my HDMI inputs are used up already.

Geeze sounds like another stab at HD DVD. How well will HD VMD do? It hasn't been released yet, how smart is the BDA? Killing poducts off before there released. More arrogance for you...

HD VMD will die....
The consumer is already put off by the whole HD vs Blu debacle...I don't think there's a stomach for yet another format.

God, these people make me ill. Henning, you need to get a player and a couple of disks for review. I doubt if the format will take off, but my curiosity is killing me.

And for those of you who don't have an additional HDMI in: Just buy an Oppo switcher for $99 so you can hook up your new $98 HD VMD player! It ain't rocket science. Just bad economics.

hey that POS3 I hardly use can easily be disconnected to make room for another HD format. I am seriously considering buying one of these to see if they are any good.
