Beowulf release date March 17th-----UK
Sweeny Todd release date May 19th------UK

By the way it seems alot of these movies maybe region coded. This is one point I must say that HDDVD had a appealing advantage. NO REGION CODING.

Yes, it really is sad that we have to deal with region codes in 2008 when the term "global market" is being used more than "hello" in some parts of the world.

It seems they forgot the "1" in Region 1 comes before "2"! Not fair.
I normally have nothing against region coding, provided of course we get them first

Well as far as Beowulf that's due to the fact that WB has distribution rights overseas and Paramount has distribution rights domestically.

Actually HD DVD as a product had pretty much everything done right....It was the promotions/advertising that was the problem.

Yea it's the old one, but IMO the best one.

Well that...sucks. I desperately hope Paramount release Braveheart here sooner than later. Region free-ness was probably the best thing I liked about HD-DVD, so I guess this serves people right for picking the non-consumer friendly format
