Would it be Bad for my HD-DVD Player...?

...to sit on top of a speaker? I rearraged my living room set up and I was thinking to place my HD-DVD player on top of one of the speakers I have, but I have concerns that the speaker might create enough vibration to mis-allign the optical drive or perhaps a magnetic field issue with the speakers that might affect the HD-DVD player (since I know magnetic fields from speakers can affect flat screen TV's).

Does anyone have any idea if my worries are real or I'm just being over concern for nothing. Input greatly appretiated.

I would expect the vibration from the speaker would cause lots of read errors, probably not a good idea.

Most speakers worth anything have magnetic shields, the vibration can't be good though.
