Presdidigitation per the dictionary means, "A show of skill or DECEITFUL cleverness."
To cut to the chase, as I sat down last night to watch I Am Legend, on SD DVD, my mind was blown away with the trailer for HI DEF. If I was a person who never even knew what HD DVD was, and I watched that trailer. I would have thought, oh wow, movies in HD DVD and Blu Ray. Warner Brothers, who we all know ended the war with there decission to go Blu. But they run a trailer about HI DEF movies (um the format war), and HD DVD got the top billing in the trailer LOL. It was basically the trailer for HD DVD, before Warner went Blu.
Which leads me back to my definition for PRESDIDIGITATION. Very clever WB and yes very very DECEITFUL!!!

Never made any sense to me why studios didn't push for HD DVD in the first place since that route would have saved them a bunch of money in the long run.

I just cannot believe, that WB would run a trailer like that. It is very deceitful, especially for someone who is new to HD. I mean come on, all of us who have been so entrenched in this format war for months knows the deal. By the of 2008, there will be nothing HD DVD in any store. But the question is why, is it becuase they are living up to their agreement? Or is it that they want to drain every penny from the pockets of consumers who are out of the loop. Now I know if I was new to this game and I ventured out to buy a HD DVD player, I would find out what was going on emediately. But still, I could not believe my eyes, especially when HD DVD got the top billing for the trailer.

spoonard, even if every studio jumped exclusively on HD DVD from the very beginning and Blu-ray never existed, HD DVD would have never taken off because of something called S-SUC (Sony Super UpConversion).

Sony has Super Upconversion now too? So many options, so little money. I need another job :p
