Sony PS3 update taking forever!

I have been doing this update for like 30min now, and it is 55% done. Anyone know how big this thing is?? Is it taking this long for everyone else?

Took about 2 minutes for me. With everyone home today, the internet is pretty slow though. I did mine a couple days ago at like 1:00 in the morning.

If you're wireless sometimes it takes awhile.

The PS3 can't auto-update?

It can do auto, I turned that feature off.

Sorry for the double post or whatever, guess I will move on to a more intelligent post like the Mary ANN or Ginger? topic...since mine has no "range".

I didn't have any hiccups when I updated about an hour ago. Although it gave static sounds (through hdmi) as it rebooted the system, all IS WELL after reboot.

That's great, I'm calling the newspapers right now to let them know.
