Blu-Ray patent infringement?

Looks as though more than just Blu is in trouble here, apparently a lot of modern laser/LED manufacturers might be!

Of course, neither Sony (nor Toshiba also called into this but not mentioned in the article for some reason) manufacture short wave length laser diodes. On another note, my own patent that says "any light source used in any technology is MINE" may be infringed as well. More investigation will follow....

I sence a major lawsuit or a major settlement happening sooner than later. Once again you will see SONY walk away from another blunder untouched. Like I've said before, Sony as a company has never properly conducted business by the books.

You call that trolling. That is pathetic. My feeling towards Sony, you call trolling... That is sad. If in fact 30 names on that list broke those rules, they deserved to be punished. I find it funny that Sony happened to be the company that got defaced. I do honestly believe that Sony isn't the HERO Company that you make them out to be.

Sony was likely in the headline because Blu-ray is the main HD format now and it's one of the big electronics stories right now with all the speculation as to how it will actually perform in the market. Reaggie, you're entitled to your opinion about Sony, of course, but it seems like you're picking and choosing a little too narrowly to just slag on Sony, even though Toshiba, Pioneer, Sharp, Hitachi, LG, etc. are all named. Like you alluded to, these suits do happen a lot. As I'm guessing you're largely comparing Sony to Toshiba as far as business ethics (I'm happy to be corrected if I'm wrong), but do a search on Toshiba lawsuits and their are many settlements and lost lawsuits on Toshiba's side, too.

Every corporate empire has had lawsuits, some more than others. Why do you think big business has a whole boardroom full of Attorney's? I can assure you, they're not there to sell Girl Scout Cookies.
