A subject that I want to refresh again, non-chalantly at least, on the LG-BH200

Okay, so the format neutral player from LG is going down in price little by little on Amazon - I mean, it's nearing the pretty $500 mark!!!!!

I am hearing mixed reviews, but I would like to continue using my HD-DVDs for some time while trying to get comfy with Blu-Ray (knock on wood).

I want to know is there really anything to cringe on this player about?

To make it sound fair, I will seriously call LG to find out any problems I could potentially have that I can get them on should something occur. I just want a fair player people, I need some HONEST opinion HERE.

I had the LG BH200 for some time and was only somewhat satisfied with the performance. I gave it to my dad and purchased a PS3 (solely for the purpose of viewing BD movies). I have not looked back. It is a sweet future-proof machine and the Wi-Fi absolutely kicks ass.

i have the bh200 & i havnt had any probs with it yet ... knock on wood. i got a newer unit with updated firmware 2 & once lg gets the newer firmware updates it should be 2.0 blu player

The only issue I have encountered was freezing and eventual player lockup on the France "Enemy at the Gates" HD DVD...won't play on any of the H3 Toshiba models either

If you never plan on getting that particular disc, then you are all set...sit back and enjoy both worlds of HD
