Hey Guys,

All honesty, I do like some musicals. But this one needed more work. I do not know who their voice coaches were but, Depp's tune wasn't that great. The girls pitch about bored me to tears. Phantom of the Opera was a great example Jimi. People could actually sing! I'm my personal point of view is that, if your going to do it right, get people that can bloody well sing! Hollywood actors, that are character actors such as Depp, prove to me the casting director didn't know what the hell he was doing muically. Big names, in feature films like this, attracts ticket sales. That's about it! Dreamgirls was a great example of people that could sing but, not cabaret or act! The way they broke into their so called soliloquies just about killed me. They were so badly sequenced, it was painful to watch! The point I'm trying to make, musicals walk the fineline between extravagant, and God Aweful!

My Favorite Musicals

Chicago
Singin' in the Rain
The Wizard of Oz
The Blues Brothers(could be seen as one)
